KISS MY GASS! Campaign Kick Off in Los Angeles

KISS MY GASS! is a national campaign to protest the price of gasoline while sending a message to both Congress and Big Oil.

While pledging to cut down on our own personal dependency on oil, we will stand united against Big Oil and an incompetent Administration by collectively instituting rolling gas outs.

Each month, the KISS MY GASS! campaign will encourage drivers nationwide to silently protest the cost of fuel by refraining from buying one brand of gasoline.

In doing this, America’s commuters are able to protest the high cost of gas, without creating further hardship in their lives.

Simultaneously, the KISS MY GASS! campaign encourages all participants to re-examine their own commitment to reducing their dependency on gasoline, one trip at a time.

  1. The only way to halt the gas prices is to hit the Big Oil, and its investors (many who are members of Congress) in her/his pockets.

DIVEST! Do you know where your retirement fund is invested? If not you need to find out. It could be that you are investing in the very companies that are working against the nation’s interest. You have choices. Move your retirement funds into socially responsible investments like products offered by ShoreBank Pacific http://www.eco-bank.com/ . Or invest in funds that engage in stockholder activism(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Activist_shareholder) like Green Century Funds http://www.greencentury.com/home/default.aspx.

Pick up a pen and/or the phone and let your elected representatives know you are tired of her/his silence on this issue. Many of your elected representatives are directly invested in the major gas companies, and let she/he know if something is not done, he/she will no longer have your vote in upcoming elections.
