CA Black Lesbian Kicked Out of Federal Building for Wearing Lesbian T-Shirt

Looks like Gloria Allred may have another Black lesbian to add to her client roster–that is if she can take the gag out of her mouth and accept the fact that Clinton is not going to be President anyway.

According to the L.A. Daily News, 31 year-old Lapriss Gilbert plans to file a lawsuit against a private security company after a routine trip to the Social Security office Monday turned into 30 minutes of shock, disbelief and irritation, who was forced to leave the federal building by a guard who objected to her “lesbian.com” T-shirt.

Okay, so here’s the back story.

Last weekend in Compton, at the Summer Soul Jam, your boy Johnny Gill gets on stage and commences to doing his thing. The only problem is, midway through his performance, he stops and invites a random woman on stage and what happened next is one for the history books.

Black Girls Rule at U.S. Open

Extending a summer she labeled “more than amazing” Tuesday night, Venus Williams pretty much romped through the first round of her 10th U.S. Open appearance.

She did encounter a 3-1 deficit in the second set, but if that amounted to a hiccup, the cure came quickly in a 6-2, 6-3 win over 71st-ranked Australian Samantha Stosur, whose penchant lies in doubles.
Following on her sister Serena’s late-afternoon win, Venus opened the night program and hurried through a 31-minute first set before the brief stall. Once Stosur double-faulted on 15-40 for a Williams break, normalcy resumed, Williams leading by 5-3 with a 110-mph ace.

*I HEART LOS ANGELES*

Another Day in L.A….Another Bank Robbery

Okay, so I just want to say that I hope that I am not the only that’s noticed the rash of “Set It Off” type bank robberies and broad daylight brazen muggings taking place in Los Angeles.

The latest such incident took place behind my house on 29th and Crenshaw at the Bank of America.

I didn’t know that was what had happened at the time, although I do remember thinking something must be going on because there was a number of “ghetto birds” hovering in the sky, more than usual. When I got the news, I headed around the corner to check things out for myself.

THE COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION

The Court of Public Opinion: When Age Is More Than A Number…It’s An Issue

The Court of Public Opinion: When Age Is More Than A Number…It’s An Issue

So this week’s Court of Public Opinion will entertain the issue of age.

The situation involves a lesbian who is dating someone almost 20 years her senior, 17 to be exact. She has noticed that often times because she is younger than the woman she is dating, she is often referred to her as “young un’” and “young lady,” but should she reverse the it and call her an “old maid” there’d be problems. She says that the woman she’s dating knew how old she was when they met but still choose to move forward. She writes that because she’s in her 30s, she’s made to feel like she doesn’t know as much as the woman she’s dating, who is knocking on 50. She says that she could possibly overlook that but can’t ignore the fact that her woman goes to bed at 8 p.m. on the dot nearly most nights of the week, leaving her wide awake. She says that she’s also concerned because she thinks the woman she’s dating is going through menopause and therefore has mood swings that she just doesn’t know how to handle at times…but she really, really likes her.

She concludes her email by saying that gray hair and one organism per night (before 8 of course) withstanding, she’s tried to make it work but feels that it’s a losing battle and wants to know is she out of her league and should call it quits.

So what say you?

Cotton Print Fabric Tunics by Lajoy

Cotton Print Fabric Tunics by Lajoy

My girl Lajoy Baber is selling cotton print fabric tunics.

The tunics are cotton print fabric. They are very loose fit like most tunics. Free around the arms, waist and back. There are some which are fitted around the waist. The fabric is sheer, therefore you will need to wear a tank or another type of garment under the tunic. Some women are wearing them as dresses, you will need to purchase larger sizes so that you have length to wear as a dress. Some are hand embroidered designs. All colors are not available in every size. The tunics can be worn over pants, tights or you can wear them as a dress.
